sorry for there being no blog for 3 months. I don’t know what makes me not remember to blog here.

some updates:
i cut my hair back in november.
i lost 10 pounds so far on weight watchers.
i really want to marry david cook from american idol.
i’m also really shooting myself in the foot for not auditioning, because i would have met him and could have been dating him by now.
i went to the kathy and judy convention again this year - and hello to the table full of inebriated women at kitty o sheas LOL
i more or less quit school
i’m going to disneyworld in a month with my family.

that pretty much sums up my list. i’ll try to be better next time.

ack, I never realize when I abandon my projects until months after. I apologize. anyway, lets get to a life recap here, shall we?

I’m now 23, as of December 5th, and it’s a little strange. I feel as if everything is so slow. I dunno, anyway next thing is I finally got my acceptance letter to Columbia, and I’m starting in the spring with a nice high-rise apartment with floor to ceiling windows as my ‘campus housing’. I’m stoked. my band is going well, we’re doing a lot of production work and stuff and really getting our damn act together, it’s great.

I really hope, though, that 2008 will pull everything together. I’m expecting it all to just go bam-bam-bam, fall right into place. School, Music, everything.

here’s to another year, hopefully it will be better than the last.

dreams are twisted, evil things...

do you ever get those dreams, where something so tragic has happened in them - but has not happened in real life? i woke up about an hour ago from a dream that someone i love died in a car crash - and after I started processing the idea that he could be dead, I actually started crying. I guess it’s to say that you should really try not to lose contact with people, because I don’t know what I would do if he were really gone.

with that said, my music is going as well as i’d like. i need to record a video of me singing for some contest that the deadline is next week and I can’t seem to be happy when I just do an audio recording. even though the weather is 30 outside (in freakin’ APRIL here...), i think the spring allergies are hitting me hard.

a few things to mention before I go:
1- i was in the ER last week (i just noticed there is still stickiness stuck to me from the IV tape). I’m fine now.
2 - I am having a gig THIS FRIDAY (the 13th...dun dun dun!), at Weeds on 1555 Dayton in chicago. It’d be great if you’d come and donate the 2 dollar cover to hear some amazing funk/jazz fusion rock from Funk In The Trunk, my band.
3 - I can’t really think of one right now, but it’s always nice to end on an odd number. Subscribe to my music podcast! How’s that?

RachelFridkin.com has officially launched! Welcome to all new-comers to my website, and I hope you find everything you ever dreamed of and more. yeah, okay so that’s an exaggeration but still. Seeing as I now paid 7 dollars (for the whole year!) for the site name, I’m going to keep up with this site - bringing you some music here and there, and filling you in on my trials and tribulations.

this week in the news? it’s Rosie O’s and Aimee’s birthday! Happy bday to them. Oh, and I discovered my best friend was engaged.
